The businessman and his spurned mistress met in Qingdao, pictured here last August, local media report.

But the contest took a fatal turn when one of the women, eliminated for her looks, drove the man and the four other competitors off a cliff, Chinese media reported.

The spurned mistress died and the other passengers were injured, the reports said.

Police initially thought the car had plummeted off a mountain road in eastern China on December 6 by accident. Then they learned of the contest through a letter the dead woman had left behind, the Shanghai Daily newspaper said.

The 29-year-old woman, identified only as Yu, was a waitress when she met the businessman at a restaurant in the coastal city of Qingdao in 2000.

At the time, the businessman, identified only by his last name — Fan — was married and had four other mistresses, according to the Peninsula Metropolis Daily newspaper in Qingdao.

The women knew of one another, but none elected to break up with the man and give up their rent-free apartment and a 5,000 yuan ($730) monthly allowance, the reports said.

When the economy soured, the businessman apparently decided to let go of all but one mistress.

He staged a private talent show in May, without telling the women his intentions. An instructor from a local modeling agency judged the women on the way they looked, how they sang and how much alcohol they could hold, the Shanghai Daily said.

The judge knocked out Yu in the first round of the competition based on her looks. Angry, she decided to exact revenge by telling her lover and the four other women to accompany her on a sightseeing trip before she returned to her home province, the media reports said.

It was during the trip that Yu reportedly drove the car off the cliff.

Fan shut down his company after the crash and paid Yu’s parents 580,000 yuan ($84,744) as compensation for her death.

The four other women left him, as did his wife when she learned of the affairs.

I may have been the subject of this research

I may have been the subject of this research

More seats for democrats in the senate?

More seats for democrats in the senate?

You gotta love coffee...

You gotta love coffee...

brilliant!

brilliant!

Voters should educate themselves beyond just listening to Politicians' b.s.

I hope all voters realize that laws easily generalize situations, and with that, people. While I may be a christian, I am a firm believer of the separation of church and state….especially when it comes to medical decisions.

This post, along with this one, eloquently describe situations that some politicians (such as McCain and Palin) describe as ‘pro-abortion propaganda.’ I find McCain’s words during the last debate ignorant and hurtful.

First of all, I doubt anyone is truly ‘pro-abortion.’ In the same vein, no one would ever label themselves as ‘anti-life.’ Please cease and desist with the horribly offensive terms being thrown at those who don’t want a religion dictating the medical decisions of our citizens. I try to step back and think about why our nation was founded: for those seeking refuge from religious persecution. Allowing one religion’s ideals to dictate medical decisions in a nation that proudly boasts of citizens of various backgrounds, races, and (gasp) religions could be considered discriminatory. Broadstrokes can be used in all sorts of ways.

Palin: "I hate women everywhere"

Here’s what you should know; check the source:http://cronespeaks.wordpress.com/2008/09/08/sarah-palin-revictimized-rape-victims/

Thanks to reader Mary for passing on the article wherein Sara Palin treated rape victims like dirt while she was mayor of Wasilla. In fact, according to this May 22, 2000 Frontiersman article, the state legislature had to pass a bill requiring that townships did not charge the rape victim for the forensic testing, otherwise known as a rape kit, as Palin did while she was mayor.

Gov. Tony Knowles recently signed legislation protecting victims of sexual assault from being billed for tests to collect evidence of the crime, but one local police chief said the new law will further burden taxpayers.

The governor signed House Bill 270, sponsored by Rep. Eric Croft, D-Anchorage, outside the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) exam room at Alaska Regional Hospital. In attendance at the signing were members of victims advocate groups, law enforcement agencies and legislators.

The new law makes it illegal for any law enforcement agency to bill victims or victims insurance companies for the costs of examinations that take place to collect evidence of a sexual assault or determine if a sexual assault did occur.

We would never bill the victim of a burglary for fingerprinting and photographing the crime scene, or for the cost of gathering other evidence, Knowles said. Nor should we bill rape victims just because the crime scene happens to be their bodies.

While the Alaska State Troopers and most municipal police agencies have covered the cost of exams, which cost between $300 to $1,200 apiece, the Wasilla police department does charge the victims of sexual assault for the tests.

Now, the paper quotes Wasilla police chief Fannon as not agreeing with the law, but we must remember this man was hand-picked by Sarah Palin to replace the former police chief that wanted to close the bars at 2 am to curtail alcohol-related traffic accidents.

Whether or not Sarah Palin agrees with abortion in cases of rape is no fucking excuse to slap rape victims in the face by charging them to gather evidence of a crime. This goes beyond revictimization, it’s a government-sanctioned assault against rape victims. With treatment like this we wonder why rape victims do not want to go to the police.

‘Cosmopolitan’ Institute Completes Decades-Long...

‘Cosmopolitan’ Institute Completes Decades-Long Study On How To Please Your Man | The Onion - America’s Finest News Source

Hilarity in white guy stereotypes. mwahahaha!

Hilarity in white guy stereotypes. mwahahaha!

I got beat up by a little kid today.
